Honor Flights

At each location during the trip they were treated like celebrities. At the Baltimore airport they were welcomed with waving flags and cheers. An even bigger celebration was waiting when they returned to Columbus. Scores of people were waiting in the baggage are of the Columbus airport to cheer and welcome them home. Most of them never even had a thank you for the service when the war ended.
